Some brief comments on the climate statistics for Autumn 2023
This has been the mildest autumn in Coventry since 2011, though equal with last year.
Only autumn 2006 (12.7C) & 2011 (12.5C) have been warmer since 1892
Decadal averages 2011-20 suggest that autumn is now 1.5C warmer than it was a hundred years ago.
Not only is autumn much warmer than a century ago, it is also wetter (123%) and sunnier (112%).
It was the sunniest autumn since 2007 (339.6hr).
